Ho Hey

It’s Music Monday!

Today I’d like to share with you a song that’s slowly crept into my consciousness of late. Everytime it’s on the radio, I feel myself singing along softly, strumming an imaginary guitar, bopping my head, and going, ho, hey!

It’s gentle but powerful. I like the guitars and the rhythm and the chanting. (Do you call it chanting? Or is it shouting? Well, you know what I mean). I’m determined to check out more by this band. Ho hey, sit back and enjoy!

Have you got a song that’s a slow burner for you but that really makes your day?

  1. Hi Nicky,
I will really have to think about your request for a song, but one of the first songs which did pop into my mind when I read your request is not really a slow burner, yet it’s a song which has always made me smile when I hear it. It comes from a Saturday morning children’s show, “Fireball XL5”, made by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson 1962-63. The first half of this song was on the show itself, and a longer version made got played on the radio. It wasn’t until I found it on YouTube a few years ago; I got to hear the full song again and fully understood the meaning behind its words.

If I get a chance, I’ll try to think of a slow burner to post.

  2. I love this song. It’s on my Precious Embrace playlist. Great choice for Music Monday.

  3. I like it! 🙂 I’ve been listening to the Seether cover of “Careless Whisper” today. Good stuff!

    • Oooooh I like, thanks for sharing! Have a great Monday and … oooh… NEXT WEEK is launch day for you, can’t wait! Let me know if you have a special request for Music Monday to ring in your big week! XX

  4. I like The Lumineers, too. Ho-hey is a catchy tune.

  5. I LOVE this song Nicky!
My slow burner would be The End by KOL – I wasn’t keen on it originally but it has gradually become one of my favourites.
