My favourite song ever – which used to worry my parents no end when I was a teenager! But I would like to see the Queen saying the lyrics…
Ha ha ha!!! You’re so funny. This is one of my all time faves, too–how could it not be! As for the Queen… well, she **seems** to be kind of saying it anyhoo, in her own special way. Isn’t she amazing?
Perfect song for the week! Reminds me of when I was doing my A-levels (argh).
I found I couldn’t listen to any Queen tracks for several years after Freddie died. And, even now, ‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ makes me cry – whether sung by Freddie or the talented Mr Brian May.
Have an amazing week, Nicky. x
I had a massive Queen phase during what was the German equivalent for me of your A-Levels (how’s that for a roundabout sentence construction?). After ever exam, I went home and played ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ at full volume, drove my Mum insane. This is one of my favourites though, and “Who Wants to Live Forever” also always makes me cry. Thanks for visiting today!
Thanks for the treat, Nicky.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love Freddy Mercury! Queen was the very first concert I ever went to. I know every song by heart, frontwards and back. As for the Queen’s Jubilee, we saw some highlights for the Parade on the Thames. Man, what I wouldn’t have given to be there for that! I’m a bit of an Anglophile, which is why my protagonist is British.
Whooot, thanks for sharing! We can totally rock out together on Queen if we ever get a chance to meet. The Flotilla was awesome–and hope you got a chance to look at the amazing Jubilee concert? It’s available on iplayer if you want to take a peek, an amazing rounding out of the celebrations. Thanks for visiting and I can’t wait to meet your British hero!!
Queen feature in my list of bands I wish I’d got to see play live with the original line up. I was just starting Uni when Freddie died.He was awesome. Feltham’s jewel in the crown! xx
Same here! X
Way back when Queen released “Killer Queen,” I correctly predicted that they would be a super group. My only successful prognostication. lol
Way to go though: at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that you got it 10000 per cent right at least once! Thanks for your comment, I’m getting the smores out now….
