It’s Music Monday!
I’m in a greatest-bands-of-all-time kind of mood. So I strolled through my archives to see who and what I had posted before and to my immense surprise I found that this band hasn’t been on Music Monday yet! They’ve been to one my launch parties, of course, but they’ve never had the spotlight. Well, I had to fix that, didn’t I?
Bringing you a classic, if perhaps not an obvious one, but certainly one of my personal all time favourites! Rock on!
So. You all now I’ve run away in a manner of speaking, if perhaps not for quite as sinister reasons as Mr JBJ’s heroine.
You know Sophie runs. But what about you?
Oh too too much so early on. Sex on legs and what a voice. Thanks, now I won’t be able to concentrate! 🙂
HAHA, sex on legs indeed! Glad you enjoyed. Sorry about the distraction!
Crickey – I forgot about all that hair!
🙂
LOL, do you know I had hair like that once? Well, it was the fashion… XX Thanks for commenting, Sue!
Hi Nicky
This week it actually took me less than a second to come up with my response song. The song was a #1 hit back in 1961 when I was in the 4th/5th grade in elementary/public schoo. If you listen carefully to the words I believe this song actually be sung by Tim right after Sophie left him for Dan. What do you think?
This is a lovely song, Robin. I love the voice and the whole song makes me nostalgic for an era that I didn’t even experience, LOL. As for Tim…I think he knew why Sophie left. Didn’t take him look to move on, after all! But still a great choice, thanks so much! 🙂
Wow Del Shannon, remember him well and the song too….thanks.
You’re quite welcomed. Spoken like another child of the 50’s like myself.
[I think. 🙂 ]
Perhaps that’s why I’ve always been able to come up with a good response song for Nicky each week. 😀
Yep a small child in the 50’s I might add LOL…but yes. I was there.
Yay! Great song. Have I ever gone on the run..? Not that I can think of, although I’ve been tempted! I will ponder that one and maybe blog about it sometime in the future… 😉
Hi Karen! So lovely to see you here!! I bet you have gone on the run, even if in the widest sense. Would love to hear about it in a blogpost someday, rock on!! :-)xx
Hi Nicky, I was fourteen when I wrote my first letter to Jon Bon Jovi. (There were many over the next coupe of years.) Sadly I never got round to posting any of them. I didn’t get round to running away either, but I loved the song and played the LP so many times it drove my parents insane 🙂
Aw, Claire, welcome to my world! Yes, I was an avid letter writer too. And then I turned the letters into short stories and flights of fancy… and now there’s whole books, LOL! And guess what, even my Mum recognizes Bon Jovi when she hears it, and Europe, and FM, and Dare… So yes, they had constant airplay in my room, too. I sense a kindred spirit ~ thanks so much for saying hello! XX
