The 40th Birthday Party Virtual Swag Bag
Suppose you went on a girlie weekend away on the occasion of your best friend’s 4oth birthday party on a small but sunny desert island in the middle of the ocean somewhere. What would you put in the Swag Bag? Here are my picks:
A book… OMG where to start? I’d have to say… probably The Eight by Katherine Neville. It never fails to enthral, and it has an ace duo of leading ladies!
Beauty products Can I bring two, please? First up is Clinique facial soap because it totally takes care of everyone’s skin. And next up is Vichy Aqualia Thermal moisturiser. I can’t live without it!
Snack food Dorritos! And all the accoutrements for making nachos (hot and spicy with lots of melted cheese!)
Music album The collected works of Europe, FM, Bon Jovi…. We’ll be rocking that island!
Anything else? Blue sparkly shoes. Because we’ll party in style!
Next on the hop: Next week will be posting…
The fabulous Sheryl Browne and the equally amazing Alison Jack!
Sheryl writes poignant modern fiction and is the author of many wonderfully funny but moving books about women and their love lives. My favourites include Recipes for Disaster and Learning to Love. Oh and Somebody to Love. And A Little Bit of Madness… in fact, ALL OF THEM!
Alison is a book lover, music lover and all-round fabulous peep. Her debut novel, Dory’s Avengers, was published by Book Guild in August 2013, and to this day I regret not being able to attend the fabulous launch! Next time, Alison, next time! Alison also runs a manuscript editing business. She is one busy and talented lady!
Be sure to tune into Sheryl’s and Alison’s blogs to check out their virtual SWAG bags on 2 June! Rock on!
Awesome! Well, you know I love the rock music and the shoes…but guess what? I also use Clinique soap! Another thing in common… 🙂
So sorry I had to pull out of taking part in the blog hop. Work overload! Have a great week with lots of those sexy rock stars as part of it! xx
Well, sister, we’re obviously connect on more than three levels, LOL! Have a great week too, and take it easy on the work if you can. Big hugs!! XXX
Hmm? Just trying to work out a suitable pud to go with the Dorritos … and the wine … and the cossie to go with the shoes!!! OMG, so much to do! Haw, haw. Thanks so much for inviting me, Nicky. See you there, hun. Rock on! 🙂 xx
Thanks for playing, Sheryl, I can’t wait to see into your SWAG bag!! 🙂 XXX Mwah!
Those blue sparkly shoes are a wonderful pick!
They’re good, aren’t they? I can’t walk in them, but hey. They look pretty! Thanks for visiting, Pauline! XX
You will certainly rock that swag bag with those sparkly shoes! Very nice, Nicky! Very nice, indeed!
The Eight – I’ve never read that. Now you’ve sparked my interest.
Sure wish this virtual birthday swag bad could come true in real life. I want that music, the Vichy moisturizer, the shoes…
Ah we can dream! And I dream of walking in those shoes one day… down the red carpet for the movie premiere of one of my books, LOL! The Eight is definitely worthwhile checking out, happy reading, and thanks for visiting! XX
