Who are you and why are you blogging?
I’m a lover of books. I’ve been reading since long before I knew reading was cool! I wanted to share my love of books with the world. I had no idea the blogging world, especially for readers, was so cool! I continue blogging because I get to meet and help fabulous authors (such as Nicky!) but my blog has gone through some changes. I’m getting a degree in Psychology and my blog is starting to show my growth as well as the great books I get to read!
*Nicky blushes in the background!*
Where’s your favourite reading nook and why?
No favourite nook. If I have a coffee and a good book, I can read anywhere! And will.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Had a beautiful daughter and married the love of my life. I won’t send a literal pic of the first! I’m sure she won’t mind a pic of her graduating and a little one of my hubby…
*awwwww what a beautiful photo!*
What’s the craziest thing you’d still like to do in your life?
Get my PhD in Psychology. I’m shooting for neuroscience. Two degrees actually! One in clinical and one in cognitive psychology!
*Nicky faints! Wow, that’s ambitious. I had no idea. You’re a superhero! Good luck!!*
What’s your most treasured possession?
My great-grandmother’s wedding ring. The only thing (other than my family, hubby, four dogs and a cat, that I would get if our house were on fire).
Who or what would need to accompany you on a desert island?
If I could bring Lilly (my daughter) I would. That girl is smart! We would not be on that island for long!
Top ten favourite books of all times?
Top ten! That’s difficult! Jean M. Auel’s Clan of the Cave Bear series has always been a fave. Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. That’s like 46 books right there!
*Nicky dances: a fellow Discworld lover!!*
What’s your favourite cocktail or alternative tipple?
I don’t drink too much but a good Moscato does wonders to my attitude!
What’s the thing you regret most not having done in your life so far?
Not travelling! I want to learn languages and see the world! Meet new people!
If you could marry a celebrity, who would it be?
Funnily he looks a lot like my hubby… Chris Hemsworth but in Thor style please and thank you!
*Nicky cheers! Can I be bridesmaid?*
You’re starting a book club. Which celebrities would you invite, and how would you convince them to turn up?
Oh goodness… I would want a variety. I enjoy clubs that have a mix of genres so we can all learn and have fun! Clive Barker, Jean M. Auel, Terry Pratchett, Nicky Wells (cause that girl just rocks!!).
*Nicky coughs. Well, I’m so there! LOL!*
You’re invited to a buffet dinner, but you can pick only ONE savoury item and ONE sweet. What would you cram on your plate?
Roast and Yorkshire pudding (can that count as one please) with strawberry cheesecake!
You’re asked to a pot luck dinner party. What do you bring?
Cuban Pulled Pork. Delicious!
Where’s your favourite place in the whole wide world?
Disney World! My hubby and I had our honeymoon there! Best week ever!
You’re talking to a hopeless romantic (me). But do you believe in love at first sight? Why? (Or why not?)
Nope. It’s all chemicals. I do believe in finding a connection with a person and learning to love them after time. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love reading about it!
*awww really? All chemicals? Love on first smell, then? LOL!*
Unbeknownst to you, your best friend has entered you for a talent show, and suddenly you’re on a stage in front of 5,000 people. What’s your talent, and would you be voted through to the next round?
Oh my goodness. Since I enjoy art and reading that would be a very silent stage! I’d probably pee myself… Which means, nope not going further!
Any other random comments or photos, preferably of the wild and wonderful kind, that you’d like to share with my readers?
My crazy family!
Mojo our sneaky cat…
The pup that started it all! He’s sweet but spoiled (both man and dog)…
The newest to our family is a pup named Bruno. The big white guy! He was under our porch and starving! So skinny… he’s gained about 40 pounds since he’s been with us. AND he’s a lap dog. Gio is our extremely intelligent middle child, and Annabelle, the also spoiled baby girl. We love sitting outside and going for walks and cannot wait for winter to end!
Thanks so much for visiting me today, Christina! I’m coming to your dinner party, and I’ll go to a buffet with you any day, LOL! It’s been fabulous to meet you and your family. Thank you for sharing!!
🙂
Wow, Christina is one busy, energetic lady! Well done to her for juggling so many things – and great, fun interview.
