  1. I love the logo – it really does convey all that you want it to convey!
And well done for training your family so well… Car journey? Firing up my laptop? One can only dream!

    • Thanks! I’m quite in love with actually. Now I just need the rock star lifestyle to follow…. **dream on, lady**

The laptop-in-car thing was a complete emergency. I had an idea and I didn’t want to let it go. Besides the kids were contained in the back and Jon was busy driving, so actually for once that was completely “guilt free” mummy working time. Amazed how much I got done… now there’s a thought! Thanks for visiting and commenting, Marina!

Your name in lights – literally! Your logo really does a great job!

On our last holiday, I’d had 6 nights off writing (no internet connection or laptop!) and suddenly I realised that a long scene was playing itself out in my mind. I nearly gave my hubby heart failure as I leapt off the sofa, desperately trying to find paper and pen so I could write down what I was experiencing, before the dialogue and ‘vision’ faded.
The poor bloke was left without me for a good hour, but it’s turned into a pivotal scene in Book Two (which surprised both Ron – co-author – AND me!)
I guess the ‘time off’ gave my writing muscle time the space it needed. Sometimes we need more play and less thinking! 😉

I don’t know how you fit everything in, Nicky, I really don’t! 😮

    • **Waves** Neither do I, half of the time! Thanks for stopping by, Joanna, I am so happy that the logo does the job. My name in lights, indeed!!

Love the anecdote you shared! Isn’t it amazing how the brain keeps chipping away at our authorly endeavours and suddenly produces inspiration at the most inopportune of moments? Well done you for following through and righting it all down. X 🙂

Thanks, Nicky! Yes, it is. And you should see it when Ron and I are together, brainstorming – words are trippin over themselves half the time! 😉
        xxx

  3. Very flashy, very nice, very fun and very Romance That Rocks Your World.

    Well done.

  4. This came through on my mobile so I wasn’t able to actually see the design this morning …have been waiting all day 🙂 Brilliant logo Nicky and it does seem to suit what I know about you and your writing! x

  5. Love the branding. Shouts you!! 🙂

  6. I think the best thing to do when you’re stuck on a problem is to just let it go. Move on to something else. Inspiration comes to us when we least expect it, when our mind is pondering other things or just plain resting. I’ve learned never to force it. It’ll come if you just kick back and let it.

As for your banner – it looks great! Very festive! A friend of mine designed my banner as a congratulations for getting my book deal. I love it. it works so well with my brand, which is decidedly more dark & sinister than yours, fitting since I write thrillers. All the best, Nicky. Rock on!
