  1. WhooOOOT! Way to go, Nicky! You are prolifically phenomenal!! GOOD LUCK, sweetie! 🙂 xx

  2. Wow – you truly do rock Nicky. I can’t wait to partay!!! Rock on!

    • *blush* Thanks so much, Janice! I think it’ll be the guests who really rock… Lovely to see you here and hope you can make it to the Big Events. Thanks! XX Happy Burns Day, btw, enjoy the Haggis Bake!

  3. Wow – GO GO Nicky! Can I put in a request… bit of an oldie but my son is learning it on acoustic guitar and I need to hear the real electric rock version… SLOW HAND GOD himself Mr Eric Clapton with Layla PLEASE??!!!

  4. cosmochicklitan

Wow! Great stuff you’ve got planned there!! Not long now :-). xx

  5. 5PM -NICKY That makes it 12 noon near in New York, guess I’m having lunch in that day. I’ve already given one song this past Monday [can’t believe I’m still the only one who’s left a message] with “LONG LIVE ROCK ‘n ROLL by Rainbow.
Making a statement that Rock ‘n Roll should stay here for a long time is nice. However, this time I want a song to be more EMPHATIC about it,,,I want to proclaim it as A FACT, and the song I want to have on the list is:

    • Hi Robin! Yes, you could listen in your lunch hour, I’d like that. Turn it up loud so your co-workers get to enjoy it too! Thanks for another ace musical suggestion, I shall add it to the wishlist. XX

      • ..Co-workers? Nicky. In about three weeks I will have been retired for three years from a civil service job with New York City. I wouldn’t have had time to write or do other things otherwise. Given the song and the theme for the program I believe it should be the last song to be played, but alas I’m not the producer of the show..

  6. Nicky! This is beyond fantabulous! This launch party will be great! Aaaaah, wish I could be there to join the fun! Good luck, sweetheart! 🙂 xx

    • Eve! But you can, at least for the radio bit! All you need is an internet connection and then you can stream the show right to your computer. The link is in the post!! There’ll probably be a webcam too so you might be able to SEE the action! XXXXX

  7. How absolutely fun! You are the best virtual party thrower I know, Nicky. Sophie would be proud! Can’t wait to celebrate. Rock on!

  8. Looking forward to it chick xxx

  9. Nicky, your launch sounds fantabulous. Can’t wait to join in the celebrations x

  10. What an amazing programme of events! Can’t wait!

  11. Woo hoo! Looking forward to it 🙂

  12. Have an absolutely fantastic day!

  13. Sounds like a wonderful, wonderful day! You are truly a rock star, my dear! Wishing you the best of luck with Sophie’s Run. 🙂

  14. Wowwww! You have enormous chutzpah – and I mean that caringly and admiringly, in a totally good way. Well done and massive congratulations xx

    • Ah, chutzpah ~ one of these words that is definitely easier to pronounce, I think, if you have a German background. I’m glad to hear you think I’ve got some, LOL; I still think of myself occasionally as a timid little bird. Okay, *very* occasionally. Thanks for stopping by and for your very lovely comment, Miriam! XX

    • To those who have no idea of what chutzpah means, it’s a Jewish word which has made its way into everyday speech in the US, especially in areas like New York. A close transliteration of it to German would be “Chutzpe” and the closest word to German would be “Dreistigkeit” meaning “AUDACITY”
It’s nice when you can understand more than one lanuage.
NICKY – Viel Glück auf Ihrer Bücher, die erste als auch wie diese.
[ Lots of luck on your books, the first one as well as this one.]

      • Aha, vielen herzlichen Dank. “Dreistigkeit” probably sums me up best. You’ve got to be ‘dreist’ (audacious) if you’re an author these day. Thank you very much for stopping by and for the little insight into the etymology and use of the word ‘chutzpah.’ As you say, it’s probably more common in the States! 🙂 Thanks also for your good wishes and… come back again sometime soon? Bis bald, und Tschuess!

  15. Well, what sort of party would a rock chick have? An AMAZING one!!! It’s going to be an extravaganza Nicky and only you can pull it off! I think everyone is ready to party – BIG time! Lxxx

    • Whooo-hoooo! Thanks so much, Linn, my cheeks are positively flaming after this accolade! So glad you are excited about this party and can’t wait to clink virtual glasses with you. Rock on! XX

  16. Bring it on – rock on and prosper. Jxx

  17. Claire McComisky

Wow, that’s one helluva party you have planned. Can’t wait to join in! 🙂 x

    • Hi Claire! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! Yes, it’s a big party, I’m stocking up on reserves right now. Thanks for joining me ~ look forward to rocking on the day! X

  18. Yay, the big day is finally here! Congratulations, Nicky! We are getting the champagne ready for the radio show as we speak. ‘Talk’ to you soon!! Jazmine, Lee and all the band members from THE HUSH

  19. We’re all with you Nicky! 🙂

  20. Congratulations Nicky! I’m so very proud of you!
