It’s Music Monday!
Happy Monday! Today, I’m in a chart-topping, commercial kind of mood. I don’t quite know why, but for some reason, this song has captured my imagination. Maybe it’s the idea of being invincible. Maybe it’s the way the vocals soar on ‘Titanium.’ Maybe it’s the beat, or the opening guitar. I don’t really know, but I’m liking it. So I thought I’d share something different, for a bit of variety. I should also say that I was convinced this song was called bulletproof, LOL. But really it’s…Titanium.
What did you make of that, then? Are you Titanium? Personally, I’m working on it, LOL!
I’d heard the song on the radio, but I didn’t know the video (which puts a whole new perspective on it). Thanks for helping ease me into a rainy, miserable Monday!
You’re welcome, Marina! It’s kind of intermittently rainy here, but very cold and autumnal. Where’s those finger gloves?? XX
At the moment I’d listen to your selection I didn’t feel that invincible. Instead I felt somewhat the opposite. You don’t have to worry I had nothing going on with my life which would make me feel this way, I just felt a little contrary for some reason. This was a good thing as it gave me an idea for a musical response for this week, instead of being invincible I began to think about being somewhat of a victim. And wouldn’t you know it, just as I thought I’d gotten Sophie and Dan out of my system, they’ve crept back into my life with Sophie singing this song about Dan.
Hopefully, the picture associated with this link hasn’t shown itself to give the singer away. You might be surprised by this version of the song.
BTW – it looks as if it’s going to be a miserable raining day here in the NY City metropolitan area as well.
Wow! SuBo! Didn’t know you knew about her on the other side of the world. Great choice although I have to confess to liking the original just that little bit better. But I think that’s always the case when you’ve known a song a long time. Rock on, and I hope it’s not toooooooo wet at your end.
DIDN’T KNOW about SuBo! On this side of The Pond! She was on the News. On the Internet, Was a guest on America’s Got Talent. Singing with Donny Osmond. Etc Etc and ETC 🙂 🙂 🙂
I like Flake’s rendition more. If you move the down description below the video, Susan sang this song year’s before her now world famous appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, so I thought might want to hear this one instead..
Fantastic vocals on this track.
