I’m off to Bedford (UK) to rock the Festival of Romance.
I’ll be going to Friday night’s gala, and I’ll be there all day Saturday to chat, meet people, and sign books.
I’m also taking part in the Readathon at 2pm AND I’m co-hosting the Rock Star Party at 5:30pm. Doesn’t that sound awesome?
I’ve retrieved not one, but two wheelie suitcases to contain all my stuff… clothes… books… and more. Will it all fit?
Here’s a selection of my glammest outfits.
Can’t wait to get dressed up! No pyjamas and toast crumbs for me this weekend. The outfits will go in the pink carry-on case. Apart from The Dress, which I’ll carry separately with one of the many additional arms I will magically grow overnight.
(Question: who else do you know that I talk about a lot who uses a pink carry-on suitcase at all times…???)
And here are all my authorly accoutrements. They clearly won’t all fit in the blue wheelie. More arms needed.
Rock on!
I’ll post a photographic diary of my version of events right here on this blog next week. After all, many of my loveahappyending.com friends will be there, plus The Romaniacs, plus many more fantastic authors and lots and lots of wonderful readers. It’ll be AWESOME!
Hope to see you there,
if you can make it.
🙂
It sounds like it will be such fun – hope you have a ‘spiffing’ time and look forward to hearing all about it.
I shall! Spiffing indeed ~ I’ll see if I can use that word somewhere just for you. XX Have a great weekend, and thank for taking the time to visit and comment. 🙂 XX
Lol, did I just spot pink marabou feathers in the frock selection? Glam alert! Have a truly grand time, glad you resolved the suitcase dilemma : ) I look forward to the report back xx
Feathers indead; whether they’re marabou, I don’t know. They tickle and shed though, LOL! I’ll have a fab time and will annoy everyone by begging for lots of pictures to be taking. Thanks for visiting and commenting, Yasmin! XXX
This sounds fabulous. Have a great time!
I will, thank you! Wish you could be there… X 🙂
P.S. ~ this is seriously it, I will be leaving shortly… so bear with me if I don’t respond to comments, my friends! xx
Have a wonderful time, Nicky! Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
Have fun!
Have fun, Nicky! 🙂
Have fun! I’m so jealous 🙂
Xx
Hi Nicky
WELCOME HOME
I’m here, leading the virtual brigade of your fans from “across the pond”, waiting for your triumphant return from the 2012 Festival of Romance in London. I hope your hard work has paid off with this marketing and promotional endeavour [your spelling ]and it has proven to be a HUGE SUCCESS you had hoped—hoped you’ve sold out all the copies of the books you brought with you and that you met your current fans and a lot of new ones. I wish I could have been there, body and soult, but at least I was there in spirit. NOW, just sit back, take your shoes, and enjoy a wonderful tea this afternoon [MONDAY].
BTW-You must have loved going back to London, because as the song goes, “There’s No Place Like London.”
hope you made it home safely, Nicky! It was so good to see you at the Festival.
I certainly did! I totally crashed out in the car and I took it really easy yesterday. In fact, it’s safe to say I had a day off, LOL. It was fabulous to meet you too, Kim, and hopefully we can do this all again soon! Rock on!!
well – I know a place that would be perfect to meet! 🙂 But am not saying where – it’s a secret
See you there…. shall we say…. Easter? Is that a good time?
Easter is a perfect time! Beginning of the season, possibly somewhat pricey but am sure we could find something suitable – maybe a big house for all of us?
Now you’re talking…. x
yepp. I already penciled it in, actually!
Aw, thank you all! It was awesome. It was FABULOUS. I’d forgotten how much fun it is to let your haird down, even if it is only short! I will be posting a photo account of my version of events as soon as I’ve got a few emails with a few photos of me… doing… stuff. Hopefully within the week! Thanks for your best wishes and be sure to check out the next post. XXX Rock on!
