So I’m getting ready for the release of Fallen For Rock on 30 June 2014. Today rings in stage one of release proceedings: THE COVER REVEAL. 🙂

Here it is!

About Fallen For Rock

‘A thrilling and delicious story of love and self-discovery woven around a broken romance that will make you turn page after page and cheer to the end.’

Love, life, loyalties. Nothing stays the same when Emily gets drawn into the world of rock.

Glossy and sophisticated professional high-flyer Emily has no time for nonsense such as the rock music her ex-boyfriend Nate adored so much. Yet when she unexpectedly comes into possession of VIP tickets—access all areas—for new rock band phenomenon, MonX, she can’t resist the temptation.

The fateful gig turns into more than one night, and Emily finds herself strangely drawn to this new and unfamiliar glittery world. However, only weeks later, MonX and her own universe fall apart with devastating consequences for all. When MonX lead singer Mike appeals for her help, she reluctantly embraces a new opportunity. But she soon discovers that while she may be a rock chick after all, a groupie she is not… Or is she?

Just exactly where do her loyalties lie? And what direction will her life take now that she’s left behind everything she treasured?

Warning! Fallen For Rock contains some explicit content and strong language that may not be suitable for readers under eighteen years of age.

An Unexpected Reveal Blitz

I was going to do a really soft and quiet cover reveal. Really. Hand on heart. I promise! I was literally just going to start posting the cover to Facebook and Twitter, and share via my blog, without much ado. However. Some of my wonderful blogging and reviewing friends had other ideas, so it is with tremendous gratitude that I am celebrating this cover reveal also on the following blogs:

Perusing Princesses ~ After The Final Chapters ~ Celtic Connexions ~
Kim The Bookworm ~ Brook Cottage Books ~ Andi’s Book Reviews ~ The Adventures WithinMe and Reading ~ Bookworm Brandee

I’m touched, honoured, thrilled and, quite frankly, overwhelmed by your support, ladies. It appears that I can no longer do things ‘on the quiet.’ And that makes me ludicrously happy. YOU ROCK!

Request your own ARC and sign up for the Fallen For Rock BLOG TOUR!

If you are a reviewer with a book blog and would like a sneak peek at Fallen For Rock, please fill in the form below. At the time of posting, there are some spaces left on the tour, but they’re going fast!

Wow. Are you ready to fall for rock yet? And tell me, what do you make of the cover?

Fallen for Rock: Coming 30 June!

I’m officially well heeled! (And ready for the movie premiere…)

This week I bought myself the most amazing pair of heels in the sale. They are blue and sparkly and just absolutely fab. My heart had lusted after them ever since I first saw them in January. And when this last remaining pair winked at me from the shelf on Tuesday, I was done for. I couldn’t leave them there. They had my name on!

Sparkly blue heels... I'm ready for anything!

Sparkly blue heels… I’m ready for anything!

Of course, I can’t walk in them. I am known for my notorious inability to walk in any kind of heels. But who cares? I simply had to have them. They are ‘me’ all over. Plus they scream ‘Emily!’ ~ my leading lady in Fallen for Rock would certainly be able to show these off!

So I’m keeping them in their box, lovingly wrapped in tissue paper, for me to admire and gaze at every now and then (which is often, at the moment).  One day, I will get that movie deal, whether for Sophie’s Turn or Fallen for Rock, and then, my friends, I will elegantly glide down the red carpet in these blue sparkly heels: mark my words. Until then, I’m just happy to have them. Moreover, that’s another item crossed off my bucket list (“buy totally impractical but drop-dead gorgeous pair of shoes that you might never wear but without which your life isn’t complete.” Done!)

Have you ever made an equally lustful and whimsical purchase?

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year… and I’ll see you in 2014!

Hello, you! It’s Monday, and that means music here on Romance That Rocks Your World! It’s also 23 December (wow!!), and that means it’s nearly Christmas. It’s the end of one heck of an eventful year for me ~ and for all of you, I’m sure. 🙂

So I’d like to party and wish you a Merry Christmas in true rock-chick style…

…plus wishing you
all the very best for 2014!

And now… I’m taking a little break from blogging until early 2014.

Expect me back some time in January or February! Thanks for all your support throughout this past year, for all your lovely comments, your enthusiasm, and all your tweets. I couldn’t do this without you! When I’ve caught my breath and finished up my latest WiP (#FallenForRock, remember?), I’ll get back to my normal blogging self.

Until then… party hard, stay safe and rock on!

Lovey’all. XXX

Empty Rooms

It’s Music Monday!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m still recovering from the ‘rock chick’ reveal of last Friday ~ what a reaction! I never thought you’d all get so excited on my behalf and join in with the voting fun in quite such large numbers. But I thank you all, you truly made me feel like a rock star! 🙂

Many of you will know that I’m working on my next full-length novel, titled Fallen For Rock. It features professional high-flyer Emily, who is anything but a rock chick. Owing to her disdain for all things rock, she’s made quite a hash out of her relationship with aspiring rock singer Nate and she’s just discovering… well, let’s say she might have made a mistake.

I was listening to Planet Rock in between bouts of writing last week, and this song came up. The lyrics don’t quite fit in every regard, but the mood…oh the mood is perfect for the opening of Fallen For Rock.

Moreover, I had flashbacks to my own life so vivid and unexpected that I’m still reeling. In particular, I see myself in the car with my then boyfriend, driving through the night towards France, and seeing the sun coming up over the horizon. He was asleep in the passenger seat***, but I was singing along to that song, and it struck a chord, even though I couldn’t figure out there and then why it would, or should. Ha! The power of music, right?

Anyway, sit back and enjoy the legacy of the one and only Gary Moore!

So ~ what’s your instant response to Empty Rooms? Have you ever had this…empty kind of feeling?

***If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll remember my post about not driving in good company. And that totally applies. However, for a very short period of about 12 months, I did actually make use of my driving license, LOL. And this  memory harks back to that time… #JustSaying
