Sophie’s Turn Virtual Book Tour events week 29 August: More, more, more to come!

Hello and good morning on this beautiful bank holiday morning.  Just to let you know that the virtual book tour for Sophie’s Turn continues apace.  This week I am expecting up to FOUR reviews, possibly… one of which is already out and live at Lou Graham’s blog at www.lougrahamiiblog.wordpress.com/ !  I am really encouraged, honoured and thrilled that all the reviews so far have been so positive.  It seems Sophie’s Turn is striking a few chords out there… (bad pun alert! Chords–rock music… and all that!) and I am loving it.  Thank you to all who have read my masterpiece and taken the time to post a review.  Your views really matter!

Also watch out for the interview on Bookworm Ink at http://www.bookwormink.co.uk/ … I’ll post and tweet for each event as usual.  Very exciting week ahead, I think!  Find the updated schedule here…Virtual Book Tour for Sophies Turn (updated 29 August) You might notice that things have got so busy, I’ve burst the single page framework… and had to roll over onto a second page to give all events due credit.  Don’t miss the second page!!! xx

Very excited to have joined the Festival of Romance online!

Thanks to Sue Fortin for pointing me in the right direction… I love this online Festival.  There’s lots going on for authors and readers alike, and if you like romance of any shape or tradition–chick lit or otherwise–this is a GREAT place to check out.  🙂  For example:  my page! http://festivalofromanceonline.ning.com/profile/NickyWells

Just another way I’m trying to get word out… Yay! 🙂

Lou Graham reviews Sophie’s Turn and says it’s “perfect”!

Hello!  Just to alert you to another fantastic review for Sophie’s Turn, this one by Lou Graham.  Lou concludes:

“This is a great book and very easy to read. … There are lots of very funny elements to this book and some great characters. …. Packed full of heated highs but also some very sad lows that might have you reaching for a tissue. (Loved the ending) Nicky has written a perfect ChickLit book that easily stands up against the others available today in the shops.

Thank you to Lou for taking the time to read and review Sophie’s Turn!

Another fabulous review for Sophie’s Turn….

Check out Georgina Scott’s blog, Chick Lit Aholic, for a detailed and thoughtful review of Sophie’s Turn.  Georgina hails from the UK originally and she says all the Britishisms made her nostalgic!  She loved the ending and admits that at one point, she ‘literally had to be dragged away from the novel.’  You can find Georgina’s blog at http://chicklitaholic.blogspot.com/.

Thank you to Georgina for taking the time to read and review my debut novel.

Check out my first interview and give-away!!!

Go for it–now!!

Jera’s Jamboree is hosting my first author’s interview, together with a give-away of a copy of Sophie’s Turn, from today!  Check it out at:  http://shazjera.blogspot.com/2011/08/author-interview-and-giveaway-nicky.html?spref=fb

Lovely review for Sohie’s Turn by Sue Fortin from lovereadinglovebooks!

Thank you to Sue from lovereadinglovebooks.wordpress.com for taking the time to read and review my debut novel.  Sue says, “The outcome, well what a great ending – not what I expected but totally satisfying. All in all a fab story told in a refreshing way.”  Check out the full review at Sue’s blog at http://lovereadinglovebooks.wordpress.com, or at www.amazon.co.uk, or at www.goodreads.com.  Woohoo!  🙂

Jera’s Jamboree posted glowing review for Sophie’s Turn

Check out this fabulous review Sophie’s Turn gained from Shaz at Jera’s Jamboree.  Shaz says it was “fab reading with an ending I didn’t see coming!”  She really enjoyed the novel and says it made her laugh out loud quite often.

You can find the review at Shaz’s blog at  http://shazjera.blogspot.com/

and also on Amazon.co.uk at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sophies-Turn-ebook/dp/B005C1GIFS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312015734&sr=8-1

Thank you to Shaz for taking the time to review Sophie’s Turn!  🙂

Link to Free Kindle Reading Apps

I don’t want to advertise Kindle here, nor am I in any way paid to promote the Kindle product.  However, in promoting my debut novel, I have run into the question of “how can I download Sophie’s Turn if I don’t have a Kindle” so many times that I thought it would be appropriate to post a link on my blog.

At this time, Amazon is offering a link for downloading FREE Kindle Reading Apps so that practically anyone can participate in the Kindle e-book phenomenon.  I have tried this out myself and the Reading Apps really are very easy to download.  They are available for iPhone, iPad, Windows PC and Macs and give access to the whole Kindle store as well as, obviously, to Sophie’s Turn!  I’ve posted the link under the ‘links’ section to the right of the blog.

Hope this helps!  🙂
