Nicky Wells visits Today I’m Reading for an interview this week….

Good morning all, and belated happy Halloween! I’ve been a little bit quiet for this past week because the family and I went on a half-term holiday to Germany.  And, by husband’s decree, I was banned from any kind of online activity.  So that, in his words, I could get a proper rest.  Hm.

Anyway, half-term has been and gone and I’m back with a bang! Continuing the virtual book tour for Sophie’s Turn into its proud fourth month, today I am visiting the lovely Sarah Taylor on her blog, Today I’m Reading.

Last month, Sarah reviewed Sophie’s Turn, saying she was instantly hooked.  I am very excited that Sarah is hosting me once again, this time for an author’s interview.  Go on, visit Today I’m Reading for your chance to read this interview.  A huge big thank you to Sarah for hosting all these events in my virtual book tour, and for her fab support. X 🙂

4 1/2 Stars for Sophie’s Turn: Samantha Robey at ChickLitPlus thinks it’s a definite must-read!

Review number two for this week, hooray!  Samantha Robey over at ChickLitPlus has taken the time to read and review my lovely rock star romance, Sophie’s Turn.  Samantha says that Nicky Wells (well, yes, that’s me!!) “spins her story with a delicate hand that will have readers cheering Sophie on throughout the entire book.”  Needless to say, I’m bowled over by this assessment and delighted at the 4 1/2 stars Samantha awarded to Sophie’s Turn.  You can read the full review here.

A huge, big thank you to Samantha for hosting a stop for my virtual book tour on her blog, especially as she’s been super busy these past few weeks.  I really appreciate your support, Samantha, and it’s wonderful to visit your fab blog! x 🙂

Sarah Taylor at TodayI’mReading says Sophie’s Turn is funny, gripping and fantastic!

Happy Monday to one and at all!  As the virtual book tour for Sophie’s Turn continues into its third month, I have great pleasure in announcing that the lovely Sarah Taylor at Today I’m Reading has offered her review of rock star romance Sophie’s Turn.  Sarah says she didn’t want to put Sophie’s Turn down as she was desperate to know what would happen with Sophie.  That’s a fabulous endorsement, and entirely the effect I was aiming for!

Visit Today I’m Reading to read the full review and find out what else she particularly enjoyed…..  A big thank you to Sarah for her massive encouragement and support.  I look forward to seeing you all on Today I’m Reading…

Not just for the ladies, then… Andy from The Bristol Nine magazine offers a male perspective on Sophie’s Turn… and he *did* really enjoy it!

The editor of local magazine, The Bristol Nine, was intrigued by the idea of a local author self-publishing her first book.  He manfully tackled all manner of technological challenges (such as, not owning a Kindle at the time) to read my masterpiece.  Here’s what he thinks:

Sophie’s Turn mega-event on The Write Stuff: Brittany Roshelle hosts an interview, review and give-away of Sophie’s Turn this week!

This week, I’m visiting Brittany Roshelle on her blog, The Write Stuff, for another massive event on the virtual book tour for Sophie’s Turn… [drumroll…]

Today (Monday), Brittany is hosting me during an author interview.  Brittany was particularly interested in the logistics of self-publishing a novel and the process of writing.  I talk about why I chose to go the ‘indie’ route, what challenges lay in wait, and how I got my book from ‘tree’ format to ‘e’ format and out there into the blue yonder…. And also, I tell all about what is the best part about being an author!

On Tuesday, Brittany offers her very own views on Sophie’s Turn! Be sure to check out her review on her blog–especially as there is a give-away competition associated with the review.   One lucky blog reader will win a free Kindle copy of Sophie’s Turn!

And now I would like to say a very big Thank You indeed to Brittany for hosting this triple-whammy jam-packed stop on her fabulous blog.  Your support and enthusiasm are both invigorating and invaluable!  🙂

I look forward to seeing y’all on The Write Stuff soon.

Cheerio from

Nicky Wells visits Mandy Baggot for a “Meet and Greet”

This week, I have the pleasure and the privilege of visiting Mandy Baggot for one of Mandy’s very special ‘Meet and Greet’ features.  I met Mandy (virtually) very early on in my virtual book tour for Sophie’s Turn, and Mandy was enthusiastic about the idea of welcoming me to her blog…  Next thing I know, she forwarded me this incredible set of questions to find out more about what I do and how I do it.  In particular, Mandy wanted to know about my writing dream… see what I said at http://mandybaggot.webs.com/meetandgreet.htm.

Thank you, Mandy, for this fabulous opportunity.  I really enjoy being your guest!

Cheerio,

Nicky xx 🙂

Girls Who Love to Read interviews Nicky Wells…find out about Nicky’s very own ‘Thunderbolt and Lightning’ moment!

Today it is my great pleasure head off to Australia… virtually.  I’m stopping by on Girls Who Love to Read for an interview with the lovely Flo.  Flo wanted to know whether I’d ever had the ‘groupie’ experience, or my very own ‘Thunderbolt and Lightning’ moment as described by Rachel to Sophie in Sophie’s darkest hour…  Also find out about my favourite rock bands and which very exciting rockers are following me on Twitter!

Join me at Girls Who Love to Read for the full interview today:  http://girlswholovetoread.com/interview-with-nicky-wells/.

Thanks very much to Flo for her interesting questions and for hosting a stop on my virtual book tour.  The good things don’t end here, though… Flo has also read Sophie’s Turn and will be posting a review (with a give-away) in November, so watch this space!

Nicky Wells visits Kim the Bookworm for an author’s interview… stop by and find out all about my life in 213 words!

Rightly or wrongly, I feel like a celebrity right now with another interview going live on another website!  This time, the wonderful Kim Nash has asked me a variety of interesting questions… She wanted to know about my life, why I write, and where… and also what I’m working on right now.  The answer to that question will be obvious to anyone who’s read Sophie’s Turn:  I’m writing the sequel.  But visit Kim’s blog for a little bit of an idea what might happen in the sequel!

Find the full interview at http://kimthebookworm.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html.

Please do join me on  Kim the Bookworm and leave me a comment!

Thanks very much, Kim, for this great opportunity and for hosting an interview on your blog as part of my virtual blog tour.  Thank you also for your guidance, advice and encouragement in every other way (you know what I mean!).  🙂

Good morning again!

Things are continuing apace this week, with another of my interviews taking place–this time by the lovely Kristin at Kritters Ramblings.  Kristin asked me all kinds of interesting questions.  Find out what I ramble on about (and ramble I can!), whether there’s anything of me in the wonderful Sophie, and what part of the writing process I enjoy most…

Join me at http://www.krittersramblings.com/ and feel free to comment and discuss: I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks very much to Kristin for hosting an interview (and yesterday’s review, of course) as part of my virtual book tour.  I have really enjoyed answering the questions and really appreciate stopping by on Kritters Ramblings today.
